While I bring my training and experience to our conversations, you bring your

courage, resiliency, and expertise on yourself and your life

My Approach

I integrate a variety of therapeutic/counselling perspectives and my approach is influenced by your unique experiences and needs.

  • I view myself as a Person-Centered therapist that borrows from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, among other types of theories and techniques.
  • I currently only work with individual adult clients 18 years or older.

  •  Having previously worked in post-secondary education as a counsellor, I have lots of experience working with clients confronting issues pertaining to:
Anxiety and Stress Management
Work/Life Balance
Life Transitions
Grief and Bereavement
Personal Growth and Development
Relationship Challenges

Counselling Relationship

Again, one of the most important considerations in therapy is the counselling relationship.  Building a trusting relationship takes time, and will allow you to feel safe, understood, validated, and supported and for us to have a shared understanding of your goals. Like any relationship in our lives, sometimes people “click” and sometimes people don’t. The therapist that suits you will be unique to you. I am happy to talk with you to determine if we might be a good fit for one another and to determine what you would like your focus of therapy to be. For this reason, I offer a free 15-minute consultation if you would like to connect to ask any questions you might have and get to know how I operate in therapy.
